And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: It is more blessed to give than to receive.

DONATION GUIDE

We ask our donors to refrain from donating teared or tattered garments. We also ask that any appliances donated are in operable condition.

The Wellston Center firmly believes in giving back to our community. Your generous donations will help us do so. We appreciate your cooperation to add value and support. We know that giving feels great.

TAX AND
YOUR DONATIONS

Donating to the Wellston Center has, and continues to be, a way for people to help others in our community. The Wellston Center uses the revenue from donated items to feed the community of Wellston with our food pantry to contribute to our mission. More and more St. Louis residents donate to the Wellston Center each year, knowing their clothing and household goods will be put to good use.

When you drop off your donations at the Wellston Center, you’ll have the option to receive a receipt from a donation attendant. Hang on to this receipt. At the end of the year, if you itemize deductions on your taxes, you can claim a tax deduction for clothing and household items that are in good condition.

The U.S. Internal Revenue Service requires you to value your donation when filing your return. Visit the IRS website to learn more.

THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING TO DONATE TO THE Wellston Center!
